We just arrived back from a nites stay at our favorite hotel near Palm Springs….the La Quinta Resort & Spa. A sprawling hotel with tons of pools all over! 40+? It is located 10 minutes from the Indian Wells Tennis Garden. I woke up early to grab shame shots there and it was closed. I drove back and walked around the hotel and while cruising back to our room for breakfast..I saw this beautiful view! The reflections in the pool are 2 cool! It was a nice cool 112 degrees there yesterday. We are back home cooling off! Enjoy!

Laguna Beach, CA – Infrared
What is a photog to do in SoCal when it is sunny most of the time? Shoot in Infrared. This shot is from Laguna Beach. A short walk from the Montage Spa & Hotel overlooking the Pacific Ocean. You can see a small part of it in the pic. This is my favorite spot in all of SoCal. You can find some seats that overlook the sea along the walking path and if you are here at sunset…stunning views! On this day about 1 mile out from the coast I could see a whale pop out of the ocean! How cool is that! If you are even in SoCal…Laguna has lots to offer!
La Quinta, CA – La Quinta Resort & Club (HDR)
We took the weekend off and took a drive to Palm Springs, CA. If you head to Palm Springs in July…its considered off season. Why?…its way too hot! About 108-110 degrees each day! Whew! But the good thing is that you can relax by the pool and its very cheap!!! We paid only $100/nite at the La Quinta Resort and Club. La Quinta is southeast of Palm Springs….about 15 miles..near Indian Wells….where the Professional Tennis tournament is located in March.
Its a great resort, dating from 1926…I can imagine that years ago it was amazing! Cozy and quaint casitas are your rooms. 70 pools spread all over the property….basically a pool will be outside your hotel room door…no matter where you stay! The shot above is the entrance to to the hotel at blue hour. Such a lovely view! Thanks La Quninta…we enjoyed our weekend getaway!! =)
