Austin, Texas – Thunderdome (HDR)

From Austin, TX the State Capitol Building is one of the best locations to shoot HDR downtown. I have posted quite a few from here….but this one I gave a little extra punch thanks to the new Plugin call “Analog Efex Pro” from Nik. If you don’t have it…check it out….very cool filters!!! Enjoy!

Austin, TX – Lord’s Gym (HDR)

I took this photo a few years ago when I lived in Austin. I see the gym is still open and not sure if it has changed…probably not…but this is one cool place for HDR’s! Look at the stories it can tell. My kinda gym. I can see Rocky training here and Ivan Drago doing his high tech stuff in Moscow. LOL Time to grab a jump rope and hit Lord’s!

One of the best views in Austin. An early AM shot from this past summer…with a little Gotham City touch. The Austin skyline is ever changing. How will it look in 5 years? Not sure…but – Keep Austin Weird!

From my recent visit…we stayed at the Hilton in downtown Austin. From the pool area you have this wonderful view of the city! This was taken just before sunrise. Have a great weekend!

Austin, TX – Austin Java (HDR)

When I lived in Austin, I drove past this view tons of times and had always said I would stop and grab a photo. We left Austin last summer and then went back for vacation a few weeks ago and had to finally take it! A nice Austin-style location…Austin Java. Nice to have checked it off the list. =)

Austin, Texas – Long Center (HDR) – Happy 4th of July!

From the Long Center near downtown Austin…the front lawn was decorated with American flags a few weeks back for Memorial Day. Have a wonderful 4th of July to all in the US! Be back to posting next week!!

Austin, Texas – MetroRail (HDR)

While back in Austin for a few days recently…we were staying at the Hilton downtown. I could look out my room window and see the station right next to the hotel. I was up early this day taking shots all around and on my walk back the Metro was just pulling up. I waited for the passengers to board and took this shot with the Frost Bank Tower in the background. I have never taken the Metro. It was on my things to do list during the trip, but just didn’t have time. I will take a ride…one day! Enjoy!

We just took a quick vacation back to Austin to see some friends. I had a little time to photograph around town and attempted to get some shots I had always wanted and also tried to find some new ones as well! I am not sure I have seen this skyline shot of Austin before? I was cruising around one early AM and saw it…had to pull over, park and this what I planned to do with this photo in IR add in a border.
