Frankfurt, Germany – Skyline (HDR)

Frankfurt Skyline_Talke
I was in Frankfurt last week stopping over for the nite on my way home. My hotel was a few blocks from the Hauptbahnhof (main train station) and 3 blocks from the bridge in the skyline shot. At this time of year…sunset is around 9:15 PM…I had to get up early in the AM…so I anxiously awaited blue hour to arrive. Finally finished at 10 PM. Always nice visiting Germany. The beer is the best!!

Munich, Germany – Theatine Church (HDR)

Munich Church_talke
From the lovely city of Munich, Germany…if you walk around Marienplatz you can find some great architecture. A few churches, shopping, the Rathaus and much more! Hop off the U-Bahn and walk about 1/4 mile and you come across Theatine Church. Hard not to find it due to its yellowish exterior color. The outside is tough to photograph…tight quarters. Inside is the best option! Not many church interiors look bad in HDR. Enjoy your Thursday!

Innsbruck, Austria – Swarovski Crystal World

Crystal-World-SW_TalkeInnsbruck, Austria is a small city in that reminds me of a storybook. Surrounded by breathtaking mountains and at this time of the year, snow still tops some the mountains and the hilly countryside is green and beautiful. Sometimes when you look, it seems surreal. Must be an amazing place to live! We arrived last week and had a little time to see some sights. We decided to stop in at Swarovski’s Crystal World. About 20 mins from downtown. It was a beauty of a day and I had always wanted to capture the “Giant” of Crystal World” at the entrance of the tour.

I’ll post a few pics from inside soon…but if you want to see a video I took with my IPhone of the entrance….please visit my Facebook link here…Swarovski Crystal World

Huntington Beach, CA – Duke’s (HDR)

Duke's Huntington_talke
Take a cruise to Huntington Beach and when you arrive at the Pier…you cannot miss Duke’s! A great place to have lunch or dinner while overlooking the beach and ocean. Here you can watch a few volleyball games or surfers catching a few waves. I arrived this early AM and enjoyed the peaceful view before the beach crowd arrived. Life is a beach!

La Habra Heights, CA – HDR Real Estate

La Habra HDR_talke
HDR Real Estate business in Orange County is great! The housing market is picking up here. Offers come in quick and many are investors that make cash offers! Crazy! Tough to contend. I photographed this beautiful house recently! 5300 sq ft and a list price around $1.65 Million. I better start playing PowerBall! LOL

One photo from part of the backyard…very nice!

San Francisco, CA – Chinatown (HDR)

SF-Chinatown-Red-lamps-HDR-SW
From Chinatown in San Francisco, CA…here is a building off the main street with some cool Red Lamps. Not sure if it is still in business, but I found it looking for some alleys. Add in a little selective color to the HDR makes the shot stand out. Chinatown is def an interesting place to walk around.

Boulder, CO – Super Infrared

Boulder CO Super IR
This shot is def something different. About a year or so ago I had purchased a Nikon D70S and had it converted to LifePixel’s Super Infrared Filter. My current filter uses the Enhanced Color. I took the Super IR on a few trips and it was funky!! I prefer the traditional type IR photos…but this photo is kinda cool! I played around in Photoshop to get this one to work. It was tough carrying 3 cameras on trips…so I sold the camera with the Super IR filter.

It is almost spring back east…so for those IR photogs…get ready to photograph in IR!!

On a side note…today is my 1000th post on Places 2 Explore!! Unreal!
