Placentia, CA – Bradford Stadium (HDR)
This moody HDR of Bradford Stadium is home of the Valencia Tigers & El Dorado Hawks. The scoreboard is dark and the stands are empty….just a few weeks until Friday Night Lights are ready to fire up again. Bring on football season!

La Quinta, CA – La Quinta Resort & Spa (HDR)
We just arrived back from a nites stay at our favorite hotel near Palm Springs….the La Quinta Resort & Spa. A sprawling hotel with tons of pools all over! 40+? It is located 10 minutes from the Indian Wells Tennis Garden. I woke up early to grab shame shots there and it was closed. I drove back and walked around the hotel and while cruising back to our room for breakfast..I saw this beautiful view! The reflections in the pool are 2 cool! It was a nice cool 112 degrees there yesterday. We are back home cooling off! Enjoy!
Santa Monica, CA – Sunset at the Pier

I had never shot in Santa Monica and it was on my bucket list. Easy to get to and one packed place during a late summer afternoon. The pier is large and has lots of entertainment. A roller coaster, ferris wheel, bumper cards, shops, restaurants and pier performers. Def will keep you busy for an evening. Being honest, there is not much to shoot in HDR other than a few on the pier shots, under the pier shots and this photo above….the iconic Santa Monica photo. Great reflections on the beach add a nice effect! Great to see and chat with ya Jim! Hope to see you in Austin soon!
Welcome to Orange County (HDR)
I have seen this sign on TV many times…always wanted to photograph it. I had no idea where it was located. I did a search….off the 5 Highway and Artesia Blvd in Buena Park. You can take the ramp off Artesia and park close and walk up to the sign. Looks like it needs some fresh paint on the Orange County part…but still very cool! Imagine all the people that drive by it everyday! OC rocks! Orange County is one of the best places to live in the US!
Yorba Linda, CA – Yorba Regional Park (Infrared-HDR)
Recently I did a quick Grad session at Yorba Regional Park. Before the session I grabbed a couple Infrared shots of the lake at the park. I loved this view and thought shooting this one in HDR would bring some textures out on the tree. Infrared rocks!
Corona Del Mar, CA (HDR) & Instagram
From a visit one day to Corona Del Mar Beach in Orange County….a lovely sunset at the Volleyball Court. If you are on Instagram….you can find me at “Peter Talke”….I always put my posts here on Instagram as well….as well as IPhone shots. When I do…my fav filter is XPro II. For some reason it makes pics look cool!! Adds a vignette & some toning that I enjoy. I set out to find if there were any actions for Photoshop? I did find one…but it needed a little extra to get that look….tweaked a tad! Here is my Photoshop Instagram Version.
