Vienna, Austria – Schonbrunn Palace (HDR) – onOne Software Sale!

This photo was processed using the new onOne Software Perfect B&W. With the recent Google/Nik issues…I decided to try onOne’s Perfect B&W. Wonderful! I must say…better than NIK Silver Efex Pro. More filters and tons of options!! I think Perfect B&W is now my first choice!

For all photographers out there…I used to be a super big fan of NIK’s software. I still use it sometimes, but not as much as I use Perfect Photo Suite 5.5! Every one of my pics uses some form of plug in from onOne’s software. I was part of a recent Webinar for the upcoming Perfect Photo Suite 6! This new updated software will be released in Mid/End October. The best thing is that it works standalone….no need for Photoshop/Lightrooom or Aperture. I must admit to being pumped for its release! Austin, Texas – Buffalo Billiards (HDR)

Through time our photo styles change.  We like to try different methods and looks.  I usually do not shoot the grungy urban style, but very much enjoy these shots.   I was watching the Photovision DVD #184 and the portrait photographer Travis Gugelman had a family doing an urban session downtown at Buffalo Billiards in Austin.   Not indoor or out front…in the back alley!   I loved the shots!  I had to take lunch yesterday to scope it out!  Not only for a future portrait session of my own, but also it looked like a great spot for an HDR.

I shot the urban style and it was just about noon and the sun was bright.  I took the HDR anyway just to see how the overall look would be and if I should take it again on a cloudy day or near dusk time.  I processed it and enjoyed it! Some of the noon-ish shadows were cool.  So an urban HDR during the day!  I can bet a normal HDR with the right conditions will be great…so look for it soon!  But in the meantime…something a little different.  Enjoy!  See my notes below…9 exposures on this HDR!

Austin, Texas – Austin Mural (HDR)

From downtown Austin, Texas…you can find this cool mural postcard located at Roadside Relics store.  It is on 1st and Annie, just a few minutes from downtown.   I was going for that 70’s look and thanks to onOne Software Perfect Photo Suite 5.5 (Photo Tools 2.6)….the preset gave the photo that vintage look!   With the 70’s look in mind I recall seeing a Photo Frame preset that had a Polaroid in it….one click and it adds your photo (just resize) and here is my fun shot…maybe a cool wallpaper for your IPad/Phone/Computer Screensaver?    Click my Facebook Page and you can download this for free!!  Enjoy!
