From my hometown of Lakeway…recently this hamburger shop opened up right near our neighborhood. Now I lived in California for a few years and nothing world wide tops In-N-Out hamburgers. I know we all have our preconceived notions on what we like and dislike and if someone says hey try this? If you already have a favorite, you typically say…no thanks! Or you try it and say…its ok but it is no “XYZ”. So when this place opened up I stayed away. Finally after a month I broke down and decided to give it a try. Now to me it is a copy of In-N-Out, so maybe it would be good? I gave it a whirl and it was pretty solid!! Yes, not In-N-Out, but a good #2!! Kudos PTerry’s! In-N-Out is in Dallas now and will soon be in Austin (few years). But at least there is a nice burger joint that passes the test! If you are ion Austin…look for a PTerry’s! I eat these burgers maybe once a week and always told myself as I drive up…that would be a cool HDR! …and here it is!! Burgertime!!

Lakeway, Texas – Lake Travis Football – Ready to Rumble!
While photographing our local team….the Lake Travis Cavaliers a few weeks back…I grabbed this shot and my thoughts were that LT was ready to rumble this evening! #32 is a guy called Turney Maurer…gotta love his preparation look. He is ready to play! Kudos Turney! This shot was incorporated into the recent cover of our local magazine called the Lakeway Voice….published by Peel, Inc. Thanks for another cover shot Kelly! Great choice! LT has another playoff game tonite! Good luck LT!!
Lakeway, TX – Waterfall (HDR)
From my hometown of Lakeway, TX…here is our local waterfalls! I had no idea these were here until my wife took a trail walk with my daughter this past year and told me about them. I took a lunch hour to check them out and photograph the lovely scenery. The top section is a walking path over the river and the bottom is natural. Gotta love Texas waterfalls! We have many! =) Not sure what these are called…so I will call them Lakeway Falls. It is finally getting cooler here…I plan on taking another ride up to Gorman Falls soon! My fav waterfall in Texas!

Lakeway, Texas – Emmaus Church (HDR)
From my hometown of Lakeway, TX here is our local church…Emmaus. When I first walked in years ago…one word…WOW! Beautiful wood architecture surrounds you all over. I had always wanted to photograph it, but never had time. Yesterday I took my lunch hour to head over and take a few shots. The sun was bright through the windows and creates a nice glow. One kudos for HDR…there were no lights on inside this amazing church and I photographed it as is… allowing its natural tones to come out. This was done in 7 exposures. I wanted to try and get all the wood details as possible. I’ll head back one nite when possible and get this shot with the wonderful lights on and its true beauty will appear….coming soon!
