Las Vegas is a perfect place for any kind of photography! HDR, IR, Portrait, Street…you name it! Hey even UV…wasn’t CSI originally from Vegas. UV Photography is key for investigators! The shot above is from walking down the strip one early AM. Added the new filter “Oil Paint” in Photoshop 6! Enjoy!
If you shoot HDR’s and love to take portraits…why not try HDR Composites!! Above is my recent one…a football composite. I posted this shot yesterday in various places and on one site someone asked…is that real rain? It is just a rain texture, then blended in photoshop. I had a great session with Shad over the weekend…took about 37 shots and pre-shot the background a month or so ago. I looked at my backgrounds and shots and figured out what would fit best. I know I wanted to add rain to the shot and the end result is above.
Sorry to pimp my products (but I will have to occasionally). If you are looking for backgrounds, please visit two locations:
1) Denny Mfg.
Both have exclusive backgrounds and I hope you can find a couple HDR’s to create your own composite art!!
Here is the add from Denny Mfg. Please visit Denny Mfg. today! You can also find lots more photography products…such as; photography backdrops, studio props and accessories, studio equipment, studio sets, and much more!!
Also, I am planning on writing and article on how I processed this photo in an upcoming HDR One Magazine!! The Internet’s #1 HDR Magazine!! Let ya know when it is coming out!
One more pic from my new favorite beach spot in SoCal…San Clemente. This shot was taken while in midst of my family session. Kudos for the good eye Dan! Dan asked if I could snap this shot of the seagulls under the pier. I did and after processing…a favorite!! A different view of a pier! Enjoy your weekend!!
From the lovely Colorado Springs, CO you can find the beautiful AF Academy Cadet Chapel. Drive into the grounds (just takes a few minutes from the highway) and you come across the grounds of the Academy. Find a parking spot and just a few steps away, this super cool church stands out and draws in your attention immediately! Some info from the web: The Cadet Chapel was designed specifically to house three distinct worship areas under a single roof. Inspired by chapels at Sainte-Chapelle in France and the Basilica of San Francesco d’Assisi in Italy, architect Walter Netsch stacked the spaces on two main levels. The Protestant nave is located on the upper level, while the Catholic and Jewish chapels and a Buddhist room are located beneath it. Beneath this level is a larger room used for Islamic services and two meeting rooms. Each chapel has its own entrance, and services may be held simultaneously without interfering with one another.
We spent Saturday and Sunday in San Clemente at the Pier shooting some sessions and this was my first visit! Such a cute little beach area! I did not bring my gear for HDR’s or IR. But will plan to visit in the next week or so to get some sunset shots!! The photo above is just hand held standard photo with a texture added. A beautiful day in SoCal!! Look for more pics from here soon! Enjoy!
From San Diego, CA a view looking away from the city at sunset. If you are staying downtown at this location you can catch planes flying into town over these houses! This view was from the Holiday Inn – 13th floor – view from my balcony.
