We had an amazing week of sunsets here in SoCal this past week. We don’t get a ton each year…but when we do, they are spectacular! Days like this I wish I lived at the beach…but we live 30 minutes inland. A storm was due in the next day and I knew we had one more sweet sunset coming our way! I took the few minute drive over the the golf course and set up and waited. I don’t play a lot of golf, but enjoy the beauty of courses. The building in the back is the clubhouse. The sun was setting and created a sweet orange glow! Enjoy the view!

Placentia, CA – In “fore” ed (Infrared)
I am on a run of infrared shots! Here is one more. I recently shot a Golf Event at the Alta Vista Country Club in Placentia. I decided to take my IR camera and give golf a try! Golf courses in IR are great! Let see how actual golf looks! I snapped about 25 shots this day and was not sure what the outcome would be. I picked out one that might be a keeper and processed it. NICE!!!! Caught this guy just right and if you look close enough….the ball is actually in the sky…mid air!!! (not photoshopped!). Sweet!! Great shot buddy!!! I’d say IR Golf is now on the radar!!! Great combo!! Maybe I can coin a new style….Infored…get it…In “fore” ed. Just hoping you got a chuckle out of that one!!
Palm Springs, CA – Golf Time!
I love to watch and play sports. But one sport unfortunately I have no time for is golf. I get to play once a year for a charity event…I am not good at all. My short game is decent, but driving is my worst area. If you cant get off the tee properly..might as well forget it! One day when I am retired I will try to master this game. In the meantime, I will stick with basketball and tennis! During our last visit to Palm Springs I went out early in the AM and grabbed some IR shots. While walking back to the hotel around 8 AM…I passed a golf course and saw these people warming up before they golfed for the day. Just a simple classic golf shot…I do like that you can see the guy with the hat’s golf ball in mid flight! If you are a fan of golf…tough not to travel to Palm Springs and golf all day and hit the pool and restaurants at nite! Palm Springs is all about relaxing! Typically you can finish up your golf game in the afternoon around “Fore!”. LOL
