From South Beach in Miami where you can find some sweet hotels lit up at nite along the strip. This is Breakwater Hotel. Looks broken down on this day. Doors might have been closed for renovations…but lights still work!! I checked out their site…all remodeled and they state it is the sexiest hotel in South Beach! Looks nice! $209/nite for a November stay. Time to hit Miami!!
From my recent trip to Vegas…this shot was on my list. I arrived near sunset and thought the light rays might be shooting along with the sunset behind the hotel….got lucky! One cool design for a hotel. Never stayed there…not sure how the room are. If the Nile is your style…this is your kinda place! =)
I was trying to find some cool and different spots in Vegas to HDR after taking this shot. I had an idea for the MGM hotel. Woke up early on AM ant 4:45 AM and walked over…hoping that things would have quieted down. Geez!! Even at 4:45 AM…people were partying and gambling! I talked to security and my idea was shot down without proper approval. I tried! If anyone has any contacts at MGM…please let me know. If not, I will try to call in advance and get the shot set up! Hopefully one day! We can all dream! Have fun!

A few weeks ago we drove about 5 hours in the middle of Texas to buy a little puppy for my little one. On the way there we took the standard route through Houston following the main roads. On the way back we decided to see a little more of our great state and took an alternate route! It was a pretty drive. Lots of farms and small little Texas towns. As the puppy was young we had to stop in the middle of the drive for a bathroom break. While looking for a location, I saw this bridge next to the road. I put the title above as Caldwell, Texas….but I am not really sure if that is correct. If anyone knows different, please let me know! We were driving on Route 21 back to Austin.
I have always wanted a train track shot…and finally it has arrived! This rusty bridge was perfect for HDR! I always enjoy the low point of view on train track shots…so I set the tripod up only about 1 foot off the ground and snapped away. I have a few more shots from here I will post again one day! Ya gotta love shots that occur just from pulling of the road! Thanks Caldwell, Texas or wherever this may be! I guess if I had geo-tagging on my camera I would know exactly where this was. Oh well! Another gadget to put on the list! Have a great weekend!
