Welcome to Orange County (HDR)
I have seen this sign on TV many times…always wanted to photograph it. I had no idea where it was located. I did a search….off the 5 Highway and Artesia Blvd in Buena Park. You can take the ramp off Artesia and park close and walk up to the sign. Looks like it needs some fresh paint on the Orange County part…but still very cool! Imagine all the people that drive by it everyday! OC rocks! Orange County is one of the best places to live in the US!
Yorba Linda, CA – Yorba Regional Park (Infrared-HDR)
Recently I did a quick Grad session at Yorba Regional Park. Before the session I grabbed a couple Infrared shots of the lake at the park. I loved this view and thought shooting this one in HDR would bring some textures out on the tree. Infrared rocks!
Corona Del Mar, CA (HDR) & Instagram
From a visit one day to Corona Del Mar Beach in Orange County….a lovely sunset at the Volleyball Court. If you are on Instagram….you can find me at “Peter Talke”….I always put my posts here on Instagram as well….as well as IPhone shots. When I do…my fav filter is XPro II. For some reason it makes pics look cool!! Adds a vignette & some toning that I enjoy. I set out to find if there were any actions for Photoshop? I did find one…but it needed a little extra to get that look….tweaked a tad! Here is my Photoshop Instagram Version.
Laguna Beach, CA – Lifeguard Tower (HDR)
I took a cruise to Laguna on Thursday nite to grab a few HDR’s and walked around downtown and headed back to my car after sunset. At Main Beach you can find a basketball court, volleyball courts, a cute little wood (boardwalk style) pathway, beautiful beach, restaurants, shops, hotels….you name it is there! Blue hour was happening during my walk back and I took this shot. Laguna rocks!

Yorba Linda, CA – Black Gold Golf Club (HDR)
We had an amazing week of sunsets here in SoCal this past week. We don’t get a ton each year…but when we do, they are spectacular! Days like this I wish I lived at the beach…but we live 30 minutes inland. A storm was due in the next day and I knew we had one more sweet sunset coming our way! I took the few minute drive over the the golf course and set up and waited. I don’t play a lot of golf, but enjoy the beauty of courses. The building in the back is the clubhouse. The sun was setting and created a sweet orange glow! Enjoy the view!
Yorba Linda, CA – Nixon Library Fountain (HDR)
From my hometown of Yorba Linda, CA…this is the fountain located at the Nixon Library. This past week we have been having some amazing sunsets in SoCal. I have been busy and missed many, but earlier in the day I could tell we were going to have another good one and took the quick drive to the fountain to grab a few shots! Enjoy!

Spaceship Oakley (HDR)
I had a little fun with an HDR I took of the Oakley Headquarters in Foothill Ranch. Looks like a spaceship cruising in the clouds. Have fun with your photos and sometimes think outside the box! =)

Irvine, CA – Fox Head, Inc. (HDR)
As a big motocross fan…I saw picture on Instagram of the Fox Headquarters building in Irvine and had to take a short drive to see it. Pretty cool design! I’d like to grab this shot at nite as well. Fox Head, Inc. or simply known as Fox is privately owned action sports and clothing brand founded in 1974. Fox designs, develops and distributes clothing and accessories to over fifty countries primarily focusing on motocross. Inside you can find a store with clothing and MX gear. One more shot from inside the store…
