Tampa, Florida – Skyline (HDR)

Tampa Skyline_Talke
I was just in Tampa for a quick stop and got up early to catch sunrise this day. Since my last visit the city has added lights on the bridge that alternate colors. While the sun was rising…I could see blues everywhere! The buildings were catching the light and were blueish so I waited til the bridge was masked in blue. I want this one in my office printed on metal! Kinda reminds me of Tron! Enjoy!

Boulder, CO – Super Infrared

Boulder CO Super IR
This shot is def something different. About a year or so ago I had purchased a Nikon D70S and had it converted to LifePixel’s Super Infrared Filter. My current filter uses the Enhanced Color. I took the Super IR on a few trips and it was funky!! I prefer the traditional type IR photos…but this photo is kinda cool! I played around in Photoshop to get this one to work. It was tough carrying 3 cameras on trips…so I sold the camera with the Super IR filter.

It is almost spring back east…so for those IR photogs…get ready to photograph in IR!!

On a side note…today is my 1000th post on Places 2 Explore!! Unreal!

Austin, Texas – Under the Bridge (HDR)

Its summer and in Texas that means you are cooking!! Its nice to be in SoCal…we are a little inland and its hot as well here! Just last nite we had a few welcome back earthquakes…4.5. Not bad, but a little shaky!! =) This shot was from a photo walk I did with the HDR Mafia Group from Austin. Miss those guys! I need to start a group here in SoCal!! Later this year, once I get settled…I’ll see what I can do. If you are in SoCal and shoot HDR…just let me know. Have fun and stay cool!

San Francisco, CA – Golden Gate Bridge (Infrared)

Nuremberg, Germany (HDR)

While walking through the city center one night in chilly Nuremberg, I walked over a bridge and saw this cool view at sunset. Nuremberg is one of my favorite little cities in Germany. Some info from the web: Nuremberg is the second-largest Bavarian city, and fourteenth largest municipality in Germany. Particularly after the EU eastern enlargement, the city has profited from its central location within the European economic region. With 500,000 inhabitants, Nuremberg is the economic, services and cultural centre of Northern Bavaria, and the centre of the Nuremberg Metropolitan Region with about 3.5 million inhabitants.

Heidelberg, Germany (HDR)

From the lovely little city of Heidelberg, Germany. A place made for photography. Heidelberg Castles is nestled in the hills overlooking the River Neckar. The day I visited we only had 3 hours in the city….I really hope to get back there one day and spent a nite or two. It is one of the few German cities that make you feel you have gone back in time. Sorry for the now added watermark. They will now be on all pics from now on. I’ll try to keep them low profile.

San Francisco, CA – Golden Gate Bridge

From San Francisco, CA one of the top iconic photo locations in the world…the Golden Gate Bridge. What would be the top photographed well known structures in the world? Eiffel Tower, Golden Gate Bridge, Times Square? Hmmm…what else would be on the list?

I have a great give-away tomorrow on Places 2 Explore!! Come back tomorrow to check it out!!!! Have fun!
