I recently had a Real Estate session in Palm Desert and brought along my Infrared camera! I shot about 13 IR photos and was hoping one IR shot would prove to be cool! I thought this one was it. The house is on the right. A few houses share the centrally located pool. I do not think I have ever seen an Infrared Real Estate photo? The agent may use it for the MLS? Does it work? Hopefully!!! Will let ya know how it goes!
I was lucky to have a weekend in Vienna, Austria on this trip and spent the day walking around and taking photos. I went out with my Infrared camera ready to capture some memories. I saw this mime dressed as Beethoven or an old school Venetian? He was entertaining and took pictures with many people. Not sure if he made much money…but when you come across moments like this…it makes your trip memorable! Thanks mime guy!
I am fading fast from using NIK software…especially for B&W shots. I now prefer “Perfect B&W” by onOne software. So many options! I used it for creating the shot above.
As a photographer…we take lots o pics! I enjoy creating art with my photos….I am sure most of you do as well. I had this shot which I processed before, but we all know that if you process a shot one day and do it the next…it can be completely different. That is the fun of post processing!
I always love high key fashion shots…to me they look cool. I have yet to pull one off…one day! So second best would be to try a high key landscape shot! Thought this one might work? Here is my first high key Infrared photo! Kinda cool? Added a frame to keep the different processing flow going!
Now I want to try something I have yet to do…I will take an HDR I processed years ago…2009-2010 range and re-process it now with all the new software/technology…then compare the 2!! I’m just thinking of this idea as I type! So lets call it HDR-U (High Dynamic Range – Update)?
Look for it later this week! Maybe we can get other photogs to try an HDR-U themselves? Go for it and let me know how it goes!!
We just took a quick vacation back to Austin to see some friends. I had a little time to photograph around town and attempted to get some shots I had always wanted and also tried to find some new ones as well! I am not sure I have seen this skyline shot of Austin before? I was cruising around one early AM and saw it…had to pull over, park and this what I planned to do with this photo in IR add in a border. Cool and different! Hope you enjoy!
This shot is def something different. About a year or so ago I had purchased a Nikon D70S and had it converted to LifePixel’s Super Infrared Filter. My current filter uses the Enhanced Color. I took the Super IR on a few trips and it was funky!! I prefer the traditional type IR photos…but this photo is kinda cool! I played around in Photoshop to get this one to work. It was tough carrying 3 cameras on trips…so I sold the camera with the Super IR filter.
It is almost spring back east…so for those IR photogs…get ready to photograph in IR!!
On a side note…today is my 1000th post on Places 2 Explore!! Unreal!
