Austin, TX – Westcave Preserve (HDR)

From a few weeks back…this shot was from our tour to Westcave Preserve (Thanks Jody!).  We were there early in the AM and I went with my buddy Jim Nix (Nomadic Pursuits).  We had about an hour to grab as many shots as possible.  This shot is from under the falls.  An excellent angle to shoot from!  Its gives you a different perspective.  If I can recall Jody (our great tour guide) telling us that the pool is 15 feet deep?   I can see why it is so dark.   Could Nessie be in there?  LOL  Westcave is a wonderful location to visit in Austin.  Tours only.  But well worth it.  As you walk along the path to the waterfall….it kinda reminds you of a tropical jungle….and you ask yourself if you are in Texas?

Westcave is located right down the street form Hamilton Pool…so it is easy to visit both in one day!   You can check out all info on Westcave’s Website…there is a great picture on the front page!  My fisheye photograph from earlier this year! If you live in Austin or are just visiting…take a drive out to Westcave and enjoy the tour!
