Austin, Texas – UT Campus (Infrared)

A few weeks back during the holidays while shooting with my buddy Jim Nix (Nomadic Pursuits).  We were walking around the Texas Tower located on the University of Texas campus.  I saw these trees and thought the spidery dark limbs in an IR shot would look cool!   So I snapped away and liked it so much I took and HDR as well in color.  I’ll post that shot tomorrow so you can compare.   Trees are a great subject in IR…basically a key component to any IR photo!  We are lucky that in Texas some of our trees do not lose leaves during the winter….so even in the winter IR  shots can be taken!

After posting the link to the Infrared Photography Buzz blog feature yesterday, it made me eager to take even more IR photos!   I always enjoy processing my IR photos….they are similar to HDR’s….you never know what you are going to get until you process it!  Anticipation!   Hope you enjoy!
