If you have ever been to London one of the biggest sights to see is the London Eye.   The views from the ride of London are amazing! The eye has 32 air conditioned capsules in which each capsule represents a London Borough.  Each capsule can hold up to 25 people and they are free to move about inside.   On revolution takes about 30 minutes.  The rotation rate is about 0.6 mph…so there is no need to stop the ride for passengers to get on and off due to the rotation rate being so slow…it just keep on rotating!

Here is some more info from the web:  The Merlin Entertainments London Eye (known more simply as The London Eye, and also known as the Millennium Wheel), at a height of 135 metres (443 ft),is the largest Ferris wheel in Europe, and has become the most popular paid tourist attraction in the United Kingdom, visited by over three million people in one year. At the time it was erected, in 1999, it was the tallest Ferris wheel in the world, until it was surpassed by the Star of Nanchang (160 m) in May 2006, and then the Singapore Flyer (165 m) on 11 February 2008. However, it is still described by its operators as “the world’s tallest cantilevered observation wheel” (as the entire structure is supported by an A-frame on one side only).

If you are ever in London…its a must ride!  One you will never forget!  I took this shot from below I wanted to get a view of the structure closeup and thought that a nice B&W effect in Silver Efex Pro would give it what it needed!  Hope you enjoy the Eye!
