Clearwater, Florida - Pelican

NIKON D300, Nikon 18-200 VR

One of our favorite beaches in Florida is Clearwater.   Clearwater has beautiful white sand beaches.  It is one great place to relax on the beach and enjoy a vacation!   There are many hotels located right on the beach.   Collect some shells, catch some rays and wonderful seafood restaurants are everywhere!  Clearwater is located in the west coast of Florida about 30 minutes north of Tampa.

Some local attractions are Lowry Zoo, Busch Gardens..and its just about 2 hours to Orlando!   Walk down the beach and you might bump into Hulk Hogan!  Here are some kudos that CB has received…

Clearwater Beach is the Best City Beach on the Gulf of Mexico according to most Florida natives. USATODAY.com readers have ranked Clearwater Beach in the Top 10 List of Best Beaches from Maine to Hawaii. Conde Nast Traveler has also recognized Clearwater Beach as the Best City Beach on the Gulf of Mexico, and the Travel Channel has declared Clearwater Beach the Best Activity Beach in the United States.

Tough to fight the critics one this one!  Summer is almost over…time for a road trip before its too late!  Have fun!

  1. A really great photo of the pelican. Just beautiful. As your time allows, please email me on how you get your pictures so crystal clear and big. This one is something else. I enjoyed stopping here a lot. All the best.

That’s a great picture. Being close to the beach is one of the reasons we love being able to sell awnings in sunny Clearwater Florida!
