San Franccisco, California – Golden Gate Bridge

Golden Gate Bridge

I always enjoy any photo from San Francisco.  If you ever take the last exit beofre the bridge from the city, this is the area where all the bus tours stop and you can walk around the Golden Gate Bridge.  On this day I drove up myself and parked….grabbed my gear and went for a walk on the bridge.  About 10 minutes later I reached the first tower of the bridge.  It is located 345 meters from the land and each tower is 230 meters high from sea level.    Once you reach this tower…look up and here is your view!

Its a nice view of the city from the bridge (only on a clear day).   Look downwards…yikes!  Its pretty high up!   Enjoy the International Orange color of the bridge…it was originally used as a sealant for the bridge.  The plan was to paint it silver or gray…but the locals asked to keep this color…and it has stayed ever since!    Hope your day is looking up!
