This picture is from Nurnberg, Germany.  I visit here once a year and enjoy staying in this little city.  This was taken this past February on a chilly late afternoon.   There is a city center (Hauptmarkt) that has many shops/restuarants and quick 2 minute walk from there is this church is called St. Sebald.  It began in 1230 and was finally completed in 1500 after being modified several times.   There are many nice sights to see in Nurnberg.  Definately stop over if you are in the area.  From Frankfurt it is roughly 3 1/2 hours via train.

Some of my favorite German cities are Munich, Frankfurt, Berlin, Cologne, and Nurnberg.   Bavaria is a beautiful section of Germany.   As you get close to Austria the landscape is amazing.  I have been on some trains through this area and have seen some beautiful waterfalls in the distance!   Of course the beer in Germany is wunderbar!!!

As for this shot HDR was a perfect choice!  A gloomy winter day with ominous clouds.   I took 5 exposures hand held and post process in Photomatix.   After I post processed I felt it needed a little something to it.  I opened it in Color Efex Pro 3.0 and used a filter to give it that extra touch.    Definately gives it a moody feel.   Enjoy!
