New York City – Times Square – HDR

Times Square HDR

Nikon D300, Nikon 18-200 VR, HDR in Photomatix

As I have been on an HDR run…might as well keep it going with this HDR of Times Square – New York City. I took this shot last September.  It was my first attempted HDR!   I just ran it again through my current settings and updated it today!   Your skills change with time, so never delete any pictures.   Go back and try a fresh current version….it may work for you.   As your photogrpahy skills grow – a fresh new look on a photo may bring it back to life.

Buildings with lights and clouds make the shot.   Times Square is perfect for HDR!  Day or night is ok.  I was lucky and took this shot hand held with 5 exposures and post processed with Photomatix.  I’ll be back in NYC later this year.  Its the greatest city in the world!  A must see for everyone…hope you have or will make it for a visit.   If you can make it there…you can make it anywhere!  Its up to you!  New York, New York!!!!

Im looking for a picture of Times Square for a design of a cover of a book.
I would love to use your picture but is it possible to buy it/ the rights or what is the procedure?
Hope to hear from you soon!

This picture is amazing! I was wondering if possible, could I use this photo as a background on my mySpace? I have a hobby for music and this would go great for the background. Hope to hear from you!!

This photo is possibly just what I’m looking for. My friend is releasing an album on and I am doing his cover art. I was wondering if I could use this picture. I want to photoshop it up, make it look deserted, and I want to put crops and trees growing in the streets… You’d barely be able to tell it was your work to start out with, but the angle is a perfect shot.

Please let me know, as I am already working on it now and wouldn’t want to completely waste my time 😀

I have sent you a message regarding the use of this photo as a backdrop for one of my upcoming events.

Please do let me know if it is OK.

Hi, we are interested in using this HDR image for an NYC event program that we are creating. What would be the single use fee for this shot?

Send me an email and let me know some really good HDR programs that are free. I’m going to college next year for photography and I can’t wait. HDR was brought to my attention today in my H.S. photo class. It is really awesome. I love your Times Square pic. It is just amazing.
