Baseball season is almost upon us! As a Pirate fan, this may be the first year I have a bit of hope since 1992! We have a great young lineup and may have a chance to break the 18 consecutive losing seasons. I am a true fan and will cheer on my Bucs no matter what! Our hopes are no the World Series or the playoffs…we can dream..but just to be a winning team! I wish them luck this year!! Go Bucs!!
In keeping my run of Texas shots going…I have posted some pics recently from downtown (Tips Iron & Steel) on P2E and also some portraits (Marilyn Monroe door shot) on the Talke Photography blog. I love this location. If you live in Austin…its on 5th and Baylor right in front of the Amtrak Station. If you stand on the tracks, this is the view of Austin you get. Very cool. Just watch out for the Amtrak train and also the Union Pacific Line! I have lots more HDR’s from here…look for em soon!

My beautiful hometown of Austin just before sunset on a recent photowalk with our local HDR Mafia. (Jim Nix, Dave Wilson, Michael Tuuk, Andy ATMTX and Todd Landry). We all had a chance to get this great shot. Austin looks great now…the past few years we had many cranes floating around the skyline…this made the skyline photo less than appealing. Now you can see Austin in its full beauty! Enjoy!

Here is a shot from this past summer from the lovely city of Pittsburgh, PA. This view is located on Mount Washington…a perfect spot to catch a skyline view of the Burgh! I went out shooting early this AM with my good friend…Dave DiCello his blog is HDR Exposed. There are two inclines you can take to get to the top of the hill and they both have wonderful vantage points. I can imagine right now from here there may be snow? I think it will be a crazy winter all over the world! The holidays are near! Enjoy!

From our stay in the amazing Coronado, CA in August….the city skyline of San Diego! I love both Coronado and san Diego tons! Perfect weather almost year round! And yes, it can rain there! =) Gas Lamp District, Star of India, Balboa Park, USS MIdway, San Diego, Zoo, Sea World, Point Loma Lighthouse, Seaport Village, Old Town. Lots to see!! From downtown San Diego, in 5 minutes you can be in Coronado. A 20 minute drive north will take you to La Jolla. Southern California at its best!

The Austin Skyline is a beautiful sight. There are a few great places to photograph it. This shot above is from Lou Neff Point. I was up early this morning recently with the frogs and bugs. It was so quiet, I could hear the fish splashing around the water. In this long exposure photo you can even see the clouds hanging over the building tops. I was hoping for a nice sunrise shot, but it was a bit too cloudy this morning.
I wanted to post this shot from Austin as we had a gathering of HDR photographers for a great lunch at Chuy’s just down the street from here yesterday. We all know each other well and occasionally get a chance to shoot together. It was wonderful to chat about all things photography. If you have a few known photographers in your area…get together if you can.
